England's attack misfirings are going to have to be solved. dunno how you do that. with peter crounch in for owen who's out for the year, will need to move carrick around - portugal's got 5 man midfiled team and that's dangerous. england plays 4-4-2 that's 4 back, 4 midfield, 2 forward. portugal plays 5 midfield... more beaners than honkies i guess-either way, portugal's depleted, UK can swoop in and secure the quarterfinals. ghana loses to brazil-happened. its no wonder ghana beat the US, we're a weak team, but its no wonder brazil ended all hopes for africa by grabbing all 3 of ghana's goal chances, for themselves. brazil is proceeding very strongly towards the finish line, the experienced machine that they are. my sure bet for the finals. france moves forward with 2 pots to spare - the spaniards never had a chance, if you ask me. there is one truth here: France is one of the best teams in the world cup ever, overall. they are the definition of consistency. zenadine Zidane is the like of Platini, Beckenbauer, Maradona and Pele. this may not be enough against brazil however in the quarters... goal keeper JULIO CESAR is the junior goalie with 11 caps, compared to Dida's 90 caps... Dida's my age!! damn. brazil team will have robinho and ronaldo forward (62 goals) ronaldihno and kaka in midfield, both 25 year old pukes TIGHT TEAM!! france's barthez is hard on them goals although coupet might have let it in France totally deserved this win against spain. They have so many great players in midfield and controlled the game from start to finish. In my opinion, Patrick Vieira and Claude Makelele were the keys to their success. Up against a young Spanish side that no doubt lacked a bit of confidence, it was the experience of players like Zinedine Zidane, Vieira, Makelele and Lilian Thuram that made the difference. With Viera and Zidane (vierai from AC Milan, won the euro2000 cup for fra pretty much), those guys are tough. however brazil is my pick, to battle it out with England after taking france in the quarters GER, ITA AND ARG typical giants of football worldwide, make it out to the quarters.
